Tips for Selecting and Buying Mountain Bikes

1. Frame material

The main materials of the frame are steel frame, aluminum alloy frame, carbon fiber frame, and nano carbon frame. The weight of the steel frame is not light, it is not easy to maintain after riding in rainy days, the welding area is easy to rust, and the technology has been eliminated. However, there are still very classic manual steel frames that many people dream of; The aluminum alloy frame is much lighter than the steel frame, but its strength has been improved. It is now the first choice for mountain bikes with a price of about 1000 yuan on the road; Carbon fiber frame is mainly used for various racing vehicles, which is made of professional and high-grade materials; The nano carbon frame is more durable and lighter, and is also made of high-grade materials.

2. Tires

Herringbone tyres are used as guide tyres and have good tracking performance. The cross type tyres are used as power tyres and are characterized by strong grip. The big flowers in the flower type tyres are used for riding on hard roads, and the small flowers are used for riding on soft roads. The bald tire is suitable for long-distance hard road riding. Universal tire is the product of industrialization, with both guidance and grip.

3. Variable speed system

The more gears you have to change, the faster you will not ride. The purpose of multistage speed change is to allow the rider to adjust the speed change according to his/her physical ability or road conditions, so that he/she can pedal to maximize efficiency. Generally, commuter scooters use 10-18 segment speed change. For leisure and sports, 21-24 segment speed change is recommended. If climbing or racing, 27-30 segment speed change is recommended. The number of gear shifting segments refers to the gear ratio change generated by the combination of the large gear plate controlled by the left hand and the flywheel controlled by the right hand. For example, there are three large plates and nine flywheels. There are 27 gear ratio changes when combined, that is, 27 segments. At present, both road vehicles and mountain bikes have evolved to a 30 segment speed change. Even CAMPAGNOLO has introduced an 11 speed flywheel, making road vehicles more advanced! The complete transmission system kit includes the front derailleur, the rear derailleur, the speed change handle, the big toothed disc crank set, the flywheel, the chain, the flower drum, the brake, and so on. Generally, the fastest way to identify a bicycle's grade is to see which grade the matching transmission system is.
