1. Buy products that are prone to spontaneous combustion, such as modified batteries, inferior batteries, irregular chargers, and regular chargers that do not match the battery. The battery is used for a long time, and the internal circuit is easy to short circuit and cause spontaneous combustion.
2. The chargers are mixed, and the current and voltage do not match, so they cannot be charged. But the charger still keeps working and heating up, so be sure to charge it in a ventilated place, which will lower the temperature of the charger and the battery itself. Using a charger that does not match the original battery can easily lead to electrical failure.
3. Overcharging can also cause fire. The charging time should not exceed 12 hours as much as possible, and the cable should be charged privately. Fire caused by insufficient capacitance and circuit overload. Riding an electric vehicle into an elevator, indoor, corridor or other unventilated place for charging is not standardized. It will not be relieved because the temperature of the charger and battery continues to rise, resulting in high temperature spontaneous combustion.
4. The battery is out of water. When the battery is short of water, the charging of the battery cannot reach the corresponding voltage, and the charger cannot judge whether the battery is fully charged or overcharged.
5. Fire caused by line short circuit. The probability of this happening is extremely low, but it cannot be said that there is no such possibility. When charging, the way to prevent the short circuit of the wire is to use a qualified wire and make sure that the wire is thick enough.
6. Runaway battery heat should be the main cause of most electric vehicle fires. Bumping, soaking, and aging can all cause short circuits, which can lead to thermal runaway of the battery.
