Regular maintenance and repair methods for bicycles

1. After riding the bike for a period of time, each component should be checked and adjusted to prevent the parts from loosening and falling off. The sliding parts should be regularly injected with an appropriate amount of oil to keep them lubricated.

2. Once the vehicle is wet by rain or damp, the plated parts should be wiped dry and cleaned in time, and then coated with a layer of neutral oil (such as household sewing oil) to prevent rust.

3. The parts coated with smooth paint shall not be wiped to avoid damaging the paint film and making it lose luster.

4. The inner and outer tires of the bicycle and the brake rubber are rubber products. Avoid contacting oil products such as engine oil and kerosene to prevent the rubber from aging and deterioration. The new tyres should be fully inflated. At ordinary times, the tire should be properly inflated. If the inflation is insufficient, the outer tire is easy to break; Too much air is pumped, which is easy to damage the tires and parts. The correct way is: the front tire should be inflated less, and the rear tire should be inflated more. In cold weather, sufficient air should be pumped, and in hot weather, too much air should not be pumped.

5. Important and appropriate amount for self driving. The load capacity of an ordinary bicycle shall not exceed 120 kg; The load capacity of a truck bicycle shall not exceed 170 kg. Since the front wheel is designed to only bear 40% of the weight of the whole vehicle, do not hang heavy objects on the front fork.

Repair

1. Check the flower drum:

Take down the front and rear wheels, check whether there are cracks near the steel wire hole, and replace them immediately if there are cracks. Rotate the drum shaft by hand to see if there is any, and shake it up and down. If there is any gap, or it is very loose, disassemble the drum shaft, clean the internal oil, and then re install new butter. Reassemble the drum shaft. Remember to adjust the bearing to make sure that the shaft can rotate smoothly, but there is no gap between up and down shaking.

2. Check the center of heaven:

Take down the chain, grasp the crank and shake it from side to side. If it shakes, lock the fixing screws. If it still shakes, adjust the center bearing; Put your ear on the seat cushion and rotate the crank. The sound you hear should be "whirring" and smooth. If you hear rattling or other strange sounds, it means that the bearing is damaged, and you should replace the center of heaven.

3. Check the pedal:

Dismantle the pedal and use a 15mm open-end wrench. Pay attention that the left pedal is left threaded. Do not disassemble it incorrectly. The pedal bearing does not need to be adjusted, but it must still be checked. If a clip type pedal is used, check whether its mechanism acts normally and lubricate it with oil.

4. Check the transmission:

Check whether each moving part of the transmission shakes. If it does, it indicates that the transmission is seriously worn and should be replaced. If not, lubricate the moving part with oil.

5. Check the frame:

Check all baking varnish. If there is corrosion until the frame is perforated, the frame must be replaced. If the frame is impacted and deformed, it should also be replaced.

6. Update all internal and external conduits:

All wire tubes have been worn after a long time of use, so it is recommended to replace them to maintain their performance.
