The wheel set is generally composed of hub、spoke、nipple、rim、quick release、AV mouth and tire.
There are holes on the inside of the frame for the nipple to fix the spoke to the frame. The hub is a cylindrical part located in the center of the wheel frame, which is responsible for the rotation of the wheel set and provides support. The hub has bearings on both sides to allow the axle to rotate smoothly to reduce frictional losses. The quick release goes through the center of the hub to secure the wheelset to the frame. Road bike tires are broadly divided into three categories: tube type (TT), tubular and tubeless tires (TL).
TT is more mature technology, so it is cheaper and easier to install. When there is a foreign body piercing into the tire, if the outer tire is not seriously damaged, it can be repaired by patching the inner tube with the patch and tire repair adhesive, or by replacing the inner tube with a new one and then filling the air. However, for safety reasons, it is safer to replace the inner tube directly with a new one, in case the inner tube cannot withstand the long and high-pressure ride and blow out again after the tire has just been patched.
The disadvantage of TT is that if the tire is punctured, the gas in the inner tube will instantly deflate, so it is easier to fall off the bike, and the frictional resistance between the inner and outer tires leads to poorer rotational performance, so it is more suitable for leisure or amateur racing.

The tube tire needs to be matched with a special frame, because the inner and outer tires are combined together, so there is no problem of frictional resistance between the inner and outer tires. If the punctured hole is not very big, the air release rate inside the tire will be slower than TT, which is relatively safe. Once punctured, it cannot be repaired, and the installation process is not as simple as TT, because the new tube tire must be glued together again with tube tire adhesive or special double-sided adhesive, and then it is safe to wait for at least one day so that the tire is completely glued to the rim before use.
Because of the better rubber material used in tube tires, and the production process needs to be handled by hand and cannot be automated, tube tires are the most expensive of the three.
Tubeless tires TL features a sealed rubber inside and tread rubber outside together in the tire mold, it needs to hook directly to the top edge of the rim through the lip of the outer tire, so it must be combined with a special wheel frame. The advantage is that the tire body structure is stronger, the puncture resistance is higher than TT, and when the tire body is punctured, the deflation rate is slower. However, the disadvantage is the same as tube tires, which cannot be repaired.
